P90X - Take II

So a few years back I was in a pretty tough place physically. I was overweight, and in constant pain every day. I was at a point where I did not want to get out of bed because my legs, shoulders, hands, and feet were in so much pain. I finally visited the doctor and found that I had arthritis related to my Psoriasis, and immediately started on medicine that would help out. Once the medicine started kicking in, I started working out, but without a true plan... I was lifting a little here, riding a bike here, doing some elliptical, but no true workout plan. I was seeing some results, but nothing dramatic and I was starting to plateau.

So I decided a couple months ago to embark on a new fitness regiment called P90X. It is a very tough workout that you do at home with the use of videos and a special diet. I successfully completed 2 of the 3 phases before life got in the way (see family vacation, see business travel). The hardest part about having to stop was that I was already starting to see significant changes in the first 56 days (two phases) and I was really enjoying it. The best part, is that other people were noticing a change in my weight and shape too.

So I am starting over again, and instead of continuing on to phase III, I am going to start back over with the first phase. So hopefully you will hear back from me along the way with success stories from the workout, and maybe some complaints of soreness... but I will post a before and after photo to make sure that the change (if any occurs) is recognizable.
